Hajiefremidis S.A. was founded in 1959 by Mr. Apostolos Hajiefremidis. Initially, the company focused on servicing small coastal vessels around Greek waters. Remaining active in the shipping market, the company steadily grew to offer a broader range of services and serve a larger number of international shipowners.

In 1996, Mr. Apostolos’s son, Ilias Hajiefremaidis, a graduate in maritime business from the University of Plymouth, UK, joined the company as Head of Operations and has since contributed significantly to its growth and expansion into new business areas.
