The Worldwide Industrial & Marine Association (WIMA) participated once again in SMM Hamburg 2026, one of the leading international trade fairs for the maritime industry, held from 1 to 4 September 2026 in Hamburg, Germany.
Through its presence at Hall B7, Stand 318, WIMA brought together a strong network of Greek maritime and industrial companies, highlighting the expertise, capabilities and international outlook of its members.

The participation of WIMA and its members provided opportunities for networking, business development and the establishment of new professional connections with international companies and industry representatives.
Strengthening Greek–German Maritime Relations
A key highlight of WIMA’s participation was the meeting between Mr. Elias Hajiefraimidis, President of WIMA, and Mr. Ploβ, Federal Government Coordinator for the Maritime Economy and Tourism, at the Greek National Pavilion.
The meeting took place during the cocktail reception hosted by WIMA at the Greek National Pavilion, which brought together distinguished guests, representatives of the Greek maritime community and friends of Greece.
Their discussion focused on key issues affecting the maritime sector, as well as opportunities for closer cooperation and the development of stronger partnerships between Greece and Germany.
The meeting offered an important opportunity to exchange views, strengthen professional relationships and explore new prospects for bilateral cooperation.
